Pool Season Liquid Floc Plus can reduce phosphates:
Active Ingredient: aluminum chloride hydroxide sulfate: Can be added to cloudy pools to reduce soluble phosphates, which can lead algae growth. Aluminum chloride also helps remove solids from cloudy pool water through flocculation

Compare to Alum: Alum specifically refers to a double sulfate salt of aluminum, typically potassium aluminum sulfate (KAl(SO4)2·12H2O) Alum is useful to flocculate pools to remove metals, phosphates and cloud causing particles.
